To provide employees with the knowledge, understanding and skills to be better able to identify, defuse and de-escalate conflict.
By the end of the session delegates will be better able to:
1. Understand the definition of Violence in the Workplace
2. Understand the concept of situation awareness
3. Recognise warning signs and danger sign relevant to potential conflict
4. Describe systems of communication in relation to conflict management
5. Describe conflict resolution options to a range of potentially dangerous situations
6. Apply personal management strategies to minimise risk and defuse aggression
7. Identify when and how to exit from potentially dangerous situations
