Conflict Management

Conflict happens - it's how we handle it that makes the difference. This interactive session will help you uncover your personal conflict style, recognize what drives tension, and practice proven strategies to resolve disagreements with confidence. By learning to address conflict instead of avoiding it, you'll build stronger communication, healthier relationships, and a more collaborative workplace.

Our presenter, Chris Dotson, is a Gallup Certified Strengths-Based Leadership Coach with more than 20 years of leadership experience across industries. His mission is to help leaders and teams unlock their full potential by aligning business success with personal well-being. Through executive coaching, team development, and leadership programs, Chris has guided hundreds of professionals—from emerging managers to C-suite executives—to stronger teams, meaningful growth, and lasting results. Recognized for his work with organizations in higher education, healthcare, manufacturing, and nonprofit sectors, Chris brings an authentic, strengths-focused approach that empowers leaders to thrive in both their careers and their lives.

Neurodivergence in the Workplace

This part of our programming will explore how organizations can better understand, support, and empower neurodivergent employees. This session highlights the strengths and challenges of different thinking styles, breaks down common misconceptions, and offers practical strategies for creating inclusive environments where all team members can thrive.

Joining us from Grand Traverse Industries sharing about this topic are Micah Haven and Austin Darga. Micah is GTI's Program Director. He is responsible for day programs at both the Traverse City and Mancelona locations. He is a recent graduate of Leadership Grand Traverse and is currently enrolled in the Rotary Charities Leadership Initiative. Austin is a Traverse City native and has been completely blind since birth. He is the official GTI spokesperson and travels throughout our region speaking and serving as an advocate for people with disabilities. He has also created a podcase called "The Way I see It", produced by Micah.
