The S&S Youth Foundation nonprofit is dedicated to giving college-bound teens the tools they need to grow and thrive as individuals. We are holding three free workshops for Houston youths this fall.
Plan to attend all three sessions:
Saturday, October 22, 2-4 p.m.
Saturday, November 12, 2-4 p.m.
Saturday, December 10, 2-4 p.m.
What we will cover:
1. Communicate persuasively to win attention for your work. You will learn a new theory and framework of communication used by today’s leaders.
2. Build relationships with peers and influencers whose support you require. You will learn interpersonal strategies that create connection.
3. Show up powerfully to garner respect. You will learn the leadership mindset that makes you feel and appear confident when speaking.
About Our Instructor - We are fortunate to have Chris Lipp as our instructor. Mr. Lipp is a lecturer at Rice University, where he teaches public communications to students in the engineering school. He is the founder of Speak Value, an international speech training and coaching firm that specializes in teaching entrepreneurs how to pitch their ideas and businesses to investors. He has taught and led workshops at Google, Mercedes Benz, Microsoft and Stanford University. Mr. Lipp is also the author of two books on public communication, The Startup Pitch and Magnetic: How Great Leaders Persuade and Inspire.
