Not sure how to school to suit your family’s needs and preferences and also write it up in the paperwork? We will discuss how to report what is working for your child, whatever the methods, by linking them to competencies and tracking progress clearly for the DEM. You don’t need “approved” textbooks or workbooks or even a set schedule (unless that is what works for you) to be in compliance. You don’t need to re-create school to meet the obligations or to “satisfy” the DEM. I will show how to see learning in any situation, how to apply the competencies with language the DEM recognizes, how to record traces of learning and how to build confidence in yourself so you can create the homeschool that best suits your child. We don’t homeschool to report, we homeschool to educate our children best and then we report that.
