Join us for an enlightening evening as John Trauth, former President of the Board of the Alliance Française of San Francisco, delves into the lives and ideas of eight of France’s most influential philosophers. John will discuss major themes from thinkers such as René Descartes, Michel de Montaigne, Jean de La Fontaine, Voltaire, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Henri Bergson, Simone de Beauvoir, and Jean-Paul Sartre. Drawing from his studies at the Sorbonne and his personal experiences in France, John will highlight the relevance of these great minds in today’s world.
Following the presentation, there will be a Q&A session and open discussion.
