All skill levels as well as all make and models of motorcycles are welcomed
This is a FREE practice to improve your skill level riding your motorcycle. While everyone may have years of experience riding are you skilled enough to control your motorcycle at slow speeds without worrying about dropping your motorcycle. We can help you improve and learn techniques to give you confidence riding at slow speeds
So what is cone killing:
Motorcycle Skills practice at slow speeds learning how to control your motorcycle using the clutch brake and throttle in cone patterns.
What we practice:
Come out and let me know what you have trouble with and we will set something up for you to practice to get over that issue.
A couple of new exercises to work on balance and slow riding. These will help you learn clutch throttle and rear brake control
We do setup part of the Illinois DMV test which is the cone weave, right hand turn, and the left hand uturn.
For the beginner to intermediate riders we work on a tighter uturns than state test and go both directions 18 to 22 feet. Keyhole which is a circle and the circle will be starting at 30 foot wide. Figure 8 24 foot wide, the W pattern which can go from 9 to 12 foot lanes for the pattern. Intersection pattern which is 18 to 24 ft wide and u do 4 uturns one way and and come back the other way doing 4 uturns the other way. Also different cone weaves with cones being 10 to 15 feet apart inline and sometimes offset from 2 feet to 12 feet.
As people come and practice and improve skills they will get to experience the more intermediate to expert police patterns if they want or polish their skills at existing patterns.
Some requirements just like taking a safety MSF class
DOT helmet and Over Ankle boots or shoes
Long sleeves and gloves preferred
You use your own motorcycle and we will require a waiver form to be filled out
