The time has come for us to draw our 100th Anniversary Celebration to a close...This year has truly been amazing for the bands at CHS. From our "Whispers from the Web" marching show taking top honors at several competitions this fall, to growing our concert program in both quality and quantity this Spring with a Superior Performance in Grade IV at Concert Band MPA. Our band is sounding the best it has since my arrival at CHS in 2017.
For our finale, we will be performing our 100th Anniversary Celebration Concert on Thursday, May 8th at 7:00PM at Robert. C. Bailey Stadium here on the CHS Campus. An outdoor concert sounded very appropriate given our band's first performance in 1925 was at an outdoor venue at a church downtown. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be given in Rimer Gymnasium. The concert is open to the entire Concord Community and is free for all audience members.
CHS Band Alumni - It would be an HONOR for you to come back and play along with us on our concert. Contact Mr. Harper ([email protected]) for music and more details. Here is our program for the event...
Centuria - James Swearingen
The Roaring Twenties - Arr. Carl Strommen
Salvation is Created - Pavel Chesnokov - Arr. Michael Brown
Tarantella - Carol Brittin Chambers
Simple Song - Leonard Bernstein - Arr. Michael Sweeney

The Bands of Concord, directed by Ed Harper, hope that you will join us for this evening of some really excellent music! See you then!
