Come celebrate with us on Thursday, November 21st, as La Peña launches a brand new series: Conciertitos!
Our "Conciertitos" will present big artists on a small stage, and allow attendees to get to know some of the most powerful and creative BIPOC voices from all over the Bay and beyond in our cozy lounge setting.
We are so proud and excited to kick of this new program by presenting a very special artist who is near and dear to La Peña: Jo Alvarez
To make the event even more special, this concert will also be Jo's demo release event, and the first chance to hear "Reflexiones y Esperanzas" performed live.
This concert is absolutely free to the public and sponsored by the new La Peña membership program and Los Cilantros Restaurant.
What to Expect:
- Authentic Mexican Cuisine with handmade tortillas and masa made onsite: There will be optional food and drinks for purchase prepared by award-winning chef Dilsa Lugo starting at 5:30pm. Come early to eat before the concert begins, or to reserve a table right in front of the stage.
- Live concert by Jo Alvarez: Two short sets of live music from 7:30pm-8:30pm, with original songs curated specifically for this event.
- Meet the Artist: A chance to mingle with other guests and meet the artist. The demo will also be available on cassette tape and Jo can autograph them.
This concert is FREE thanks to La Peña members and Los Cilantros restaurant, but please RSVP so we can get a head count.
