Concerts With a Cause at First United Methodist Church of Baton Rouge presents acclaimed organist Dr. Catherine Rodland in concert on Sunday, September 28 at 4 o'clock. Dr. Rodland is an award-winning organist with degrees from St. Olaf College and the Eastman School of Music, and is Artist in Residence at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. A highlight of the concert will feature collaborative works for viola and organ with Dr. Kimberly Sparr, Associate Professor of Viola, of the Louisiana State University School of Music. Underwritten in Memory of Anita Haygood Bridges by Malissa Turner, this concert is free and open to the public. A voluntary offering will be your opportunity to support the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, who distribute products to over 140 member agencies that directly serve people in need. In 2024, the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank distributed 12.8 million meals.
