Join the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra (KSO) for a summer evening of music in Bronson Park for Patriotic Pops! Grab a lawn chair or picnic blanket and enjoy an evening of favorite tunes from the lively marches of John Philip Sousa to Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s roaring 1812 Overture. The KSO has been serving the Kalamazoo community through outstanding listening and learning experiences for over 100 years with a vision to make symphonic music a part of everyday life throughout our community.Concerts in the Park is a program of the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo, with support from the Irving S. Gilmore Foundation, Kzoo Parks, WMUK, Encore Magazine, and the Michigan Arts & Culture Council. It is one of Kalamazoo’s long-standing traditions offered in June, July, and August in Bronson Park delivering a unique offering, unlike any other. Each concert is free and is friendly for the entire family. Picnic meals, blankets, or lawn chairs are encouraged.
There is not a rain site for Concerts in the Park. If inclement weather is expected the concert may be canceled by 2:00 pm that same day.
On-street parking is available all around the perimeter of the park. Additional parking is nearby at the South Street Parking Garage.
