Back by popular demand, Amethyst performs some outstanding masterpieces with the addition of a few friends of the ensemble. Bach’s Harpsichord Concerto in F (BWV 1057) and Scarlatti’s cantata E perche non sequito o pastorelle are only part of the program of concertos, cantatas, and other works for a larger Baroque ensemble. Guest musicians Jonathan DeLoach (recorder), Daniel McCarthy (tenor violin), Ute Marks (violin), Dana Duncan-Davis (violin), Lisa Terry (cello), Kelly Stewart (harp) and Gregory Hamilton (theorbo) join Amethyst members Adrin Akins (countertenor), Jody Miller (recorder), Marcy Jean Brenner (viola da gamba), and Alexandra Dunbar (harpsichord and organ).$20 general; $10 for discounted categories; no one turned away due to inability to pay.
