The music of TØNDRA is easiest described as an airy mix between analog and digital sound textures with modern references. They are known for delivering high energy live shows and putting the essence of the North on whatever stage they step on.
Tøndra is visiting Vietnam for the first time ever - and they are joined by singer and joiker Sara Garen. The music is a mix of modern electronic rhytms and traditional joik.
The Sami people are an indigenous group of people who live in the northern parts of Scandinavia and Russia. They are also known as the Sámi people. Sami culture is unique by reindeer herding, handicraft, and the song tradition of joik.
Joik is a singing style and cultural expression of the Sami people, an indigenous group from northern Scandinavia, Finland, and a small part of Russia.
There will be a short presentation and Q&A before the concert, where you will be introduced to Sami culture, music and the mix of different expressions, followed by a concert.
