Chris Taylor grew up in the South Molton and started his musical career with the South Molton Town Band. His Dad Jack Taylor conducted the band and his brothers Gil and Jimmy also played in the band. He spent several years in the British Army as a musician, before eventually returning to his home area. He was well know throughout the South West as a conductor and brass teacher. He passed away last year.
Chris had a long association with Crediton Town Band and they have decided to perform a concert to celebrate his musical life, choosing a selection of music from concerts when he conducted them.
