For the final concert of the 79th MMS season, the society is delighted to welcome baroque superstars Red Priest on their first visit to Morpeth. The audience can look forward to experiencing both classics of the baroque era, such as the Brandenburg Concert No 5, and less familiar works, all performed in the group's inimitable style. The musicians are renowned for delivering an exciting, full-on, musical experience. If your only experience of recorder playing is from primary school, this will change your opinion!
Piers Adams – recorders
Julia Bishop – violin
Angela East – cello
David Wright – harpsichord
For sheer technical wizardry, charismatic showmanship and expressive devilment, Red Priest is in an exhilarating class of its own.'
