About this Event

Richmond Hill United Church is excited to welcome Nadine Bargout (violin), Anastasia Pogorelova, (soprano), Imre Oláh (piano & organ), to our beautiful, resonate sanctuary.


Be transported on an incredible journey of the senses, and feel the purity and depth of the music of Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Fauré, Sarasate, Schnittke, Strauss and Marcello.


Your donations will go towards the upkeep of this historic space as a concert venue for the community and the music ministry of Richmond Hill United Church. Please note that tax receipts will not be issued.


Nadine Bargout’s career spans over two decades as both an orchestra member and a solo violinist. Graduating with a bachelor's degree from the Belarusian State Academy of Music, she joined the Minsk Belarusian State Chamber Orchestra, touring Europe for six years. Before her relocation to Canada, Nadine spent fourteen years performing and teaching in Dubai. While serving as the concertmaster of the Abu Dhabi Symphony Orchestra, Nadine performed Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto at the Emirates Palace under the baton of Andrew Berryman and led orchestras for such renowned artists as Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublé, Jacksons 5, and others.


Anastasia Pogorelova, acoloratura soprano, born in Moscow where she obtained her Master’s degree in Opera and Chamber Music as well as Teaching from the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music. Sang in Vishnevskaya Children’s Theatre performing in Europe and throughout Russia. In 2016 she moved to Toronto and performs as a recital artist. 2017,2018 performed with Toronto Concert Orchestra. Roles in opera: 2019 – Halifax Summer Opera festival- Queen of the Night (W.A. Mozart, “Magic Flute”); 2022 - Opera Nuova, Edmonton, AB - Foreign Woman (G.Menotti, “Consul”); 2023 - Music Festival in Jaraguá do Sul, SC, Brazil - La Musica and La Pastora (C.Monteverdi, “Orfeo”); 2024 – Soloist in "Elora Vocal Academy". Upcoming roles: Toronto – Summer Opera Lyric Theatre – Atalanta (G.F.Handel, “Xerxes”).


Imre Oláh, born in Hungary, studied music in Budapest, specializing in organ performance, choral music, and choral direction. Since 1989, he has served as music director and organist in numerous Toronto-area churches. Imre's musical contributions extend to organ recitals, choir accompaniment, and solo performances in Hungary, Germany, Italy, and the USA. He holds the Associateship diploma with the Royal Canadian College of Organists. Imre is the artistic director of Organ Vespers at St. Elizabeth of Hungary RC Church and conductor for St. Elizabeth Scola Cantorum. In 2018, the choir received the Rákoczi Award for promoting Hungarian choral culture in Canada. Imre is currently the Director of Music and Organist at Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church.
