Nicponie (literally ‘the scoundrels’) is a group that reinvents the traditions of Warsaw street music with infectious energy and a unique style. Formed in 2020 during the pandemic, the group was born out of an irresistible desire to play in the streets of Warsaw, bringing music and joy to passers-by. Their quirky, mischievous interpretations of popular melodies quickly captivated audiences from markets to parks, earning them invitations to events and festivals across Poland.
Their success even led to them supporting pop star Sanah on her stadium tour, marking their place on the Polish music scene. With a varied repertoire ranging from old Polish capital hits to contemporary tunes, Nicponie offer a musical journey from the tangos of Andrusowski to the modern rhythms of Stachursky to the current hits of Sanah. What they have in common is a cheeky sound, marked by the authenticity of a traditional Warsaw band.
