Vision of Hope United Methodist Church will host an afternoon of music and celebration with an Album Release Party for contemporary worship leader Nathan Jones on Sunday October 12 2025 at 2:00 PM. The event will take place at 1723 Port Republic Road just outside Harrisonburg in Rockingham County.Nathan Jones who joined the staff of Vision of Hope UMC in September 2024 will debut a full album of original praise and worship music in a live concert setting. Jones brings experience and passion for contemporary Christian music having previously served in another United Methodist congregation near Atlanta.
Following the concert attendees are invited to a reception where they can meet the artist and learn more about the inspiration behind the music.
"This event is not just a concert" said Pastor Michael Reaves. "It’s a celebration of creativity faith and community. Nathan has revitalized our contemporary worship service since he joined our staff. His music speaks to the heart of what it means to worship in spirit and truth."
The concert is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted to support the ongoing worship and music ministry at Vision of Hope UMC. The program is expected to last about one hour.
Known affectionately by locals as "the church that looks like a yurt or a circus tent" Vision of Hope UMC is a visible and welcoming presence on Port Republic Road offering both traditional and contemporary worship outreach ministries and community engagement.
