Loving Room brings local performers and music lovers with a mission to provide intimate and inspiring experiences in beautiful cosy spaces. Because who doesn’t want to discover new locations and upcoming talent all in the same space at the same time?

19:00 - 19 20 Christian Crochet

Christian Crochet is a French-Moluccan multidisciplinary artist: poet, photographer, dancer, performer and flow artist based in Amsterdam. Was born in Breda, the Netherlands, moved to Amsterdam where he discovered poetry while studying French literature. His biggest inspiration comes from the modernist writer Virginia Woolf and symbolists such as André Breton and Charles Baudelaire. His poetry and complementary music is characterised by a sense of ephemeral softness often found in nature and a touch of joy and lightness of the mundane. evocative serenity, uniquely detailed, floral and with a melodic flow of childlike enthusiasm and curiosity. His current poetry project is a poetry workshop with music and interactive elements pertaining haiku and different other Japanese forms.

20 00 - 20 20 Roos Julia Bernson

Roos is an urban sociologist interested in the earth and the many creatures that walk it, trying to make sense through word and image. Born and raised in the Netherlands, she often writes songs in her mother tongue about the pieces of beauty she encounters on journeys, small and big. Roos released a first EP in 2019, “Wispeltuur,” about the various options life offers and the difficulty in choosing the right paths.

During the open mic, 6 more shortlisted musicians can showcase their own songs after the concert. Please sign up with a musician ticket for this event if you want to perform and bring with you your instruments. We will have a capacity of maximum 6 musicians, 1-2 songs per musician.

Location: OBA Postjesweg

Time: Doors open at 6 45 pm. We start playing around 7 pm.
