Pop music didn’t die — it got flatter. When Andy Warhol turned the superficial into art, he saw the future: a world where image outruns meaning, where fame is mass-produced, and where emotion becomes decoration. Today, we’re living inside that world. But in the era of AI — where even authenticity can be simulated — a new question rises: What’s left that’s real?
In this immersive live performance, Australian musician Jonathan Flack joins forces with Estonian bass player Tanel Liiberg (Bombillaz) to summon the spirit of Warhol’s Factory, reanimating the music that defined it — from Lou Reed to Bowie — and pushing it through a 21st-century machine.
Covering, reworking, and glitching iconic songs with the help of AI-generated audio, live improvisation, and raw, human imperfection, the duo explore the tension between past and future, fame and emptiness, surface and soul.
This is not nostalgia. This is a confrontation — a musical mirror held up to the plastic sheen of modern Pop.
About the Artists
A soulful force hailing from Australia, Jonathan Flack captivates audiences with a genre-bending mix of country, rock, and classic R&B. Whether singing alone with his guitar or building electric collaborations, he brings a vulnerable intensity that defies the algorithm.
Based in Tallinn, Estonia, Jonathan is the current frontman of post-rock band Ocean Districts, and has released genre-crossing material with OLEN JONES, The Jingles (Eesti Laul), and J&R. He’s toured across the Americas and Europe, but his current work dives into something deeper: sound as a question mark in the age of simulation.
