Finland's folk roots meet modern jazz & classical influences in the piano music of Teemu Kekkonen. Thoughtfully crafted compositions, cinematic harmonies, captivating grooves and familiar melodies are the cornerstones of his music. As a musician Teemu is oriented towards a narrative style and strives to create musical adventures which evoke emotions and diverse moods. As the basis for his improvisations Teemu uses the thematic material of the piece at hand, sometimes transforming it to raw and rugged cacophony, at times to a calm and collected contemplation.

During the open mic, 6 more shortlisted musicians can showcase their own songs after the concert. Please sign up with a musician ticket for this event if you want to perform and bring with you your instruments. We will have a capacity of maximum 6 musicians, 1-2 songs per musician.
