Join the Santa Maria Philharmonic Orchestra and Maestro Michael Nowak for the 2025-26 season-opening concert featuring imaginative orchestral music.
Maurice Ravel turns 150! The Santa Maria Philharmonic and Maestro Michael Nowak invite you to celebrate with the spectacular piano Concerto performed by noted Ravel specialist, Gwendolyn Mok. Also on the program is Copland’s ‘Billy the Kid’ - a tale of the American West. The concert opens with Beethoven’s powerful Leonore Overture to his single Opera Fidelio.
There will be a pre-concert lecture that will enhance your enjoyment and understanding of the music. This Pre-Concert Lecture is FREE and open to all concertgoers. The lecture will be held just before the concert, beginning at 6:50 PM and ending at 7:10 PM.
