Intimidated by launching at the ramp?
This will be the kick-off to our sailing season - a compound gathering and BBQ lunch, culminating in launching our yachts and heading off for a few days' cruising.
We will have experienced members ready to assist with any questions, boat setup or launching. All members are welcome - trailer yacht and keeler skippers can all assist, whether or not you have your boat at the compound! We are happy to help you raise your mast on the grass outside the compound (and help launch your boat too!)
We will spend the morning doing mast-raising, boat safety checks, rig tension, etc.
The Squadron BBQ will be providing a sausage-and-bread lunch.
Then afterwards we will launch and head to a nearby bay for the night.
For those who have booked leave, we will be cruising from 27 September, through the weekend, and beyond.
