About this Event
Join Phil to learn how to turn food faste from a climate changing challenge into fertile food for the farm… replicable in your own home!
Come and meet the most important animals on the farm and learn how to compost your food waste rather than put it in the bin.
Worms are sexy, they make nutrients available for your garden, they help reduce climate changing methane emissions into the atmosphere, worm composting can help you save money on shop bought compost ... and they are cute and wiggly!
At this Composting and Wormery session come and learn-
* how to make a simple home for wiggly worm compost creators.
* their dietary preferences
* how to harvest their amazing worm compost to use in your garden.
Go home with your own batch of wrigglers to start up your own worm farm.
This session is led by Oxford City Farm Community Grower Phil Pritchard and is supported by WISH (Waste Innovation Station).
