The City of Lomita is partnering with Athens Services to host a free compost giveaway and shred event for Lomita residents.🗓️ Saturday, October 4, 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
📍 Lomita City Hall
🌱 Athens' compost is a blend of organic material and is Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) Listed and licensed by the California Department of Food and Agriculture. The compost is available while supplies last. Participants must bring a shovel and sturdy container (no plastic bags or containers larger than 32 gallons allowed). Gloves and eye protection are recommended.
📑 For document shredding, customers may bring up to three banker-sized boxes for shredding per household or account. Hazardous waste, including paint, oil and light bulbs, will not be accepted.
➡️Please note, proof of Lomita residency is required to participate in the event.
