Participants will be shown some compositional examples on how to write traditional music. Ryan will explain in-depth details about his composing approach and touch on topics like melody development & chords.
Ryan Molloy, a celebrated musician and composer from Tyrone, has significantly contributed to the Irish traditional music scene. With a deep-rooted passion for music, Ryan began his musical journey at a young age, mastering the fiddle and piano. He further honed his skills at the University of Ulster, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music.
Molloy’s innovative approach to traditional Irish music has garnered him widespread acclaim. His compositions and performances are renowned for their intricate fusion of classical and folk elements, reflecting his unique artistic vision. As a versatile musician, Ryan has collaborated with numerous ensembles and artists, both in Ireland and internationally, enriching the global traditional music tapestry with his dynamic style.
