You may be familiar with Holden Arboretum just outside the city, 3,600 acres of lush flora and photogenic wildlife, all accessorized with winding walkways and tranquil waters. This picturesque setting is named after Robert Fairchild Holden, established in 1931, and is one the largest arboretums in the country. To cover the entire region it could easily take years, but thanks to DPA instructors in Cleveland, the expansive environs has been distilled down to 3 hours of great photo opportunities. Whether practicing shutter speed control of moving water, depth of field studies of colorful flowers or powerful compositions of landscapes in general, you’ll walk away with images worthy of any great photo portfolio.
