Biographies:
Dr. Simone Moretto graduated in Dentistry from State University of Campinas in Brazil. Afterwards, she obtained the titles of Specialist, Master and PhD in Restorative Dentistry at the Sao Paulo University, Brazil, building part of her education at BIOMAT – Biomaterials Research group of the Department of Oral Health Sciences, KU Leuven (University of Leuven), Belgium.
As a researcher she developed a sound scientific background with papers published on peer reviewed journals and presentation in several International Congresses.
With an extensive clinical experience and a solid academic formation, she build up a long-term expertise which supported her in teaching as an Associate Professor at Ibirapuera University in Brazil and afterwards when lecturing in courses of Continuing Education in modern Dentistry all around the world.
Since 2014 she has joined GC Europe as a Training Manager completing the existing team of experts in developing training courses with a well-balanced clinical and scientific point of view.
Dr Adriano Teixeira graduated in Dentistry from the UNESP State University (Brazil). He also obtained the titles of Specialist and Master in Restorative Dentistry from the University of Sao Paulo (USP).
With more than 18 years of clinical experience in his practice, he has already given many hands- on courses to students and dentists which enhanced his skills not only as a trainer but also on developing intuitive educational material to improve the learning process.
As a researcher, Adriano has published several papers in reviewed journals and has given presentations in national and international congresses.
Now, Adriano is part of the GC Europe N.V. team as a Technical & Training Manager contributing to Campus training courses with all his expertise and teaching abilities in bringing the newest trends in Dentistry to all attendees from the GC Europe Campus.
Aims:
To provide a comprehensive, theoretical and practical understanding of anterior and posterior composite layering techniques, following the natural anatomy of the tooth
Objectives:
• Understanding colour perception, learn different techniques in shade selection, understanding how to get invisibility, understanding composite materials and how to get the best from them
• Develop an enhanced understanding of bonding and repair processes
• Gain practical skills by building up a polychromatic anatomically functional Class IV and Class II restoration
• Develop practical skills in assessing individual tooth characteristics and then apply this to your restoration
• Practice clinical techniques on finishing and polishing to achieve surface texture, correct line angles and final surface lustre
Learning Outcomes:
This course will give the participant, during theoretical and practical sessions, an overview of all the clinical steps to build up an anatomically correct and functional polychromatic restoration.
1.5 days training - 9 CPD hours, GDC learning outcome level C
