Veterans! You are invited to join us for a complimentary six-week class where you will work with our herd of horses and learn how to apply horsemanship principles to everyday relationships and challenges. Using a variety of horses and hands-on exercises, Joe and Steph will give you techniques and tools to help you connect with other veterans while you increase peace and purpose in your daily life.
Six weeks — Saturdays from 10-11am, October 18 to November 22.
Meet our facilitators:
Joe Consoli, a Marine from 1966-68 who served in Vietnam and police officer for 35 years, becoming a detective, working as a hostage negotiator, member of the SWAT team, a narcotics investigator, and more. He has previously led veterans’ horsemanship classes in California. Joe has endless interesting stories and is the most humble man you’ll ever meet, full of wisdom and empathy.
Steph LaClair, a certified Welcome Home Equine-Assisted Learning facilitator, has been leading EAL sessions and encouraging curiosity, kindness, and resilience at The Barn since 2021.
