This project is not for everyone – the stitches require concentration, precise counting
and following instructions. The stitches used are “two sided insertion stitch” and a
single Maltese cross as in “interlacing stitch” – not multiple crosses but one cross
repeated vertically. This is lovely on coloured linen with a plain coloured thread—
variegated threads will not have the desired impact.
This class is designed to stretch your skills and is suitable for embroiderers with
some experience in the technique or advanced embroiderers with previous
knowledge/experience in the technique.
