About this Event
Our ambition is that: Each community is prepared to help.
We aim to live in a community where everybody recognises that we all have a role to play in supporting each other in times of crisis and loss. People are ready, willing, and confident to have conversations about living and dying well and to support each other in emotional and practical ways.
We aim to do this through Compassionate Neighours. Our Compassionate Neighbours provide social and emotional support to people who have a life-limiting condition or are receiving end-of-life care. They also share their knowledge and experiences of end of life, death, dying and loss giving dedicate space for these issues. Compassionate Neighbours do not perform personal care or nursing, administer Medic*tion, offer home help, personal assistance, or do manual handling. They provide:
• Emotional and social companionship.
• Regular visits.
• A listening ear.
• Support for you to stay connected with your community, friends, and family.
If you are keen to become a volunteer for Keech Hospice Care, please bring along 2 forms of identification on the day. This can include: driving license, passport, picture ID or billing statement.
Light refreshments will be provided, but please bring a packed lunch.
Please enter via the Children's Reception to the left of the building.
