Our award-winning COMPASS for the Caregiver education program helps caregivers balance their own well-being with the challenges of caregiving, and is facilitated by someone who understands those challenges.
Thank you to our sponsor:
The COMPASS for the Caregiver course has a $300 value. Thanks to sponsorship from Caregivers Alberta, this course is usually offered for a $55 manual and registration fee. However, this COMPASS for Caregivers (Bow Valley, Alberta) is Sponsored 100% by Ram Projects and Renovations (locally owned and operated in Banff).
COMPASS for the Caregiver is a multi-session, interactive, online workshop series.
Session 1 "Being a Caregiver"
Caregiving can be stressful, isolating, and have a negative impact on your physical and mental health. Understand your role as a caregiver and assess your strengths, challenges and overall sense of self.
Session 2 "Managing Your Stress"
Learn how stress can lead to burnout and what you can do to prevent or recover from burnout. We’ll explore how to shift our mindset and seek balance in caregiving.
Session 3 "Balancing Relationships"
Improve your communication skills to identify what you need, ask for help, and share the care. The hardest lesson as a caregiver is to regain your identity as a whole person by taking care of yourself first.
Session 4 "Navigating the System"
Increase your confidence in accessing services, reflect on your caregiving journey, and plan for the future to avoid the stress associated with uncertainty.

Your Facilitator: Anna-Lisa
Anna-Lisa is a soul-led teacher, seeker, guide and a passionate Bow Valley Ambassador for Caregivers Alberta. Fuelled by decades of enriching experiences in education, immigration, and hospitality, in Ontario, and for the past 18 years, in the Bow Valley, Anna-Lisa fervently believes in the power of nurturing sacred spaces for healing and transformation. She integrates her deep connections to nature, community and holistic well-being to accompany others, no matter what age, stage of life or background, through the “soulful adventures” of life.
Navigating her own caregiving journey and a season of intensive loss led Anna-Lisa to discover Caregivers Alberta in 2022. This gift that truly "keeps on giving" has been integral to Anna-Lisa finding new paths as she seeks to authentically reintegrate into society and honour the legacy of love and service passed on by her parents,Tony and Connie Celli.
Anna-Lisa has had the pleasure of facilitating COMPASS for the Caregiver online through Caregivers Alberta. She is overjoyed to offer the program, in person, for the first time, to her home community of caregivers. Anna-Lisa is particularly grateful for the generous support of her husband, Adrian, and his business partner, Miko Ramsay, of RAM Projects and Renovations for their financial contributions in making this dream a reality for Bow Valley caregivers who are interested in participating.
