UPDATE - POSTPONED UNTIL JANUARY 25th - Join volunteers Jade Berrill and Sara Thompson for companion rescue practice to sharpen your response times in case of an avalanche. Gear requirements: Avalanche gear (transceivers, probes, shovels, backpack); gloves that you can open up zips and set up gear with; warm clothes, but lots of layers (you will get warm digging!). If you don't have avy gear we have a couple of spare shovels and probes you can use. Participation requirements: Must be an ACC Columbia Mountains Section member. No experience required, but you'll get the most out of it if you have a basic understanding of the companion rescue steps. Cost: free! Registration: email [email protected].
