The school year CLP is to provide knowledge, training, and experiences to teens so that they become strong leaders in their communities, are inspired to help others, and gain insight into the workforce.
Led by a Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce '50 Under 50' award recipient and COMO Coach, TJ Faeth! Learn to lead from a great role model dedicated to improving the community through expansion of free athletic programming and more.
Benefits of the Program: Confidence, Skills for job/career success, Volunteer service hours for school, honor society, etc., Strong sense of self and purpose, Resilience and emotional maturity, College recommendations, Network of friends for life, Exposure to diverse groups, backgrounds, cultures, and ideas, Mentorship from local business and COMO professionals
Time Commitment: Being part of the COMO Leaders Program is a commitment. Leaders are expected to attend weekly meetings and activities as well as volunteer in their community. A core part of the program is that leaders take an active role in planning and facilitating COMO activities. The more time, effort, and energy a leader puts into their community, the more they’ll receive back.
First meeting will be held September 10, 2025!
Meetings are the first and last Wednesday of each month.
Meeting times:
Middle School Leaders: 6:30-7:30 p.m.
High School Leaders: 7:30-8:30 p.m.
Volunteer opportunities and other event times vary but will be mentioned in an ample amount of time.
Leaders will plan a minimum of two community events during the year, which will be used as fundraisers for the COMO community.
Price: $250 (includes Basic Membership)
