Yom Kippur is the Jewish day of atonement. This community-wide Shabbat and Yom Kippur service is an expansive morning service, deepening the themes of the High Holy Days: t’shuvah (forgiveness), t'filah (self-reflection), tzedakah (acts of justice). The Torah reading on Yom Kippur morning, marked by a melody unique to Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur morning alone, contains the beautiful words from parashat N'tzavim in Deuteronomy — the message reaffirming that we all stand as one on this day, and the sacred words and lessons that unite us through Torah are not beyond our reach, for we stand reaching toward them together.
Onsite and online.
