Ellison Memorial Funeral Home and Mineral Springs Baptist Church to Host Community-Wide Prayer Service.Clanton, AL – Ellison Memorial Funeral Home and Mineral Springs Baptist Church are partnering to host a Community-Wide Prayer Service on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., held at Mineral Springs Baptist Church, located at 8316 County Road 51 in Clanton.
This special evening of worship and prayer is being held in the wake of the Charlie Kirk assassination, a beloved icon and brother in Christ whose legacy of faith, service, and compassion left a lasting impact on our entire nation; especially our young people.
“This service is a way to remember and honor Charlie’s life,” said Aaron Ellison, owner of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home. “But more importantly, it’s a chance for our community to come together in unity, prayer, and reflection — something Charlie deeply believed in.”
Pastor Jason Green of Mineral Springs Baptist Church emphasized the spiritual importance of the evening. “We’ll be lifting up the Kirk family in prayer, along with our community and our nation. In times like these, prayer is not just helpful — it’s essential,” Green said. “The evening will include praise and worship, a brief message from God’s Word, and time set aside for both corporate and private prayer.”
The event is open to everyone in the community, and those who are unable to attend in person will be able to participate via live broadcast on Piper Peach Radio. Listeners can tune in by downloading the Piper Peach Radio app from their mobile device’s app store.
