Join us at this open-level West Coast Swing practica for anyone who wants to improve their dance. Ideally you’ll bring specific things you want to work on, and be ready to give feedback to other dancers as requested.
A partner is not required! However, you are welcome to bring a practice partner and opt out of rotation, if you wish. This is your time to practice how you want!
DJ Blake will provide music to practice to, and Christine Pita will be available as a facilitator to offer general guidance and answer dance questions. To help cover expenses, we suggest you contribute $10 (or pay what you can). CASH ONLY! No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
We will be in Studio B this month!

Practica structure:
There is generally no lesson at this practica. The first hour will be structured as a rotation with time to dance and discuss with each new partner, and to ask questions of the instructor. The second hour will be structured as spotlight/semi-spotlight dances with the opportunity to watch other couples and get for feedback on your dancing. Participation in either portion is optional.
Spotlight will be facilitated as follows:
1. 1-2 couples at a time for about 1 min and 30 seconds (typical spotlight duration).
2. Dancers can request feedback or just dance in the spotlight for the experience.
3. Feedback will be limited to one good thing and one thing to explore per person.
4. Feedback time is timed to ensure efficiency.
5. Once feedback is given, couples will get a chance to apply it with for about 30 seconds.
