Community Walk – Brum Canal Heritage Walk

Join us for a special community walk in collaboration with the amazing Ras Adventures group — bringing people together through movement, wellbeing, and exploration.

This walk is designed especially as an opportunity for migrant communities to connect, make new friends, spend time outdoors, and learn more about Birmingham’s canal heritage and hidden history.

Suitable for all ages and the whole family.

Participants who would like to join us from Centrala are welcome to meet us at 8:30am — grab a coffee before we set off!

We will leave promptly at 8:50am sharp and travel together by taxi to the walk starting point. Transport back to Centrala after the walk will also be provided.

For registered participants meeting at Centrala, we can provide a snack box (water, fruit & crisps).

Registration is essential so we can organise transport, snack boxes, and numbers of adults and children attending.

Brum Canal – Rocky Lane Entrance, Aston Cross
(Chester Road, around the corner/opposite Aston Retail Park)

Route: Aston Cross → Brindley Place / Old Turn Junction → return

• Views of the BT Tower
• Farmers Bridge Lock Flight
• Historic poems etched into the locks
• Cambrian Wharf
• Old Turn Junction & Brindley Place

• Family friendly – suitable for all ages
• All minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult
