Join us for the Community Tree-Planting Event as part of the River Bend Stream & Outfall Restoration Project! Help plant approximately 500 native species trees. The event will also involve other activities, including:• Benthic surveys (identify stream insects and organisms)
• Litter clean up
• Self-guided stream tours
Directions: Parking will be at the River Bend Middle School parking lot, 46240 Algonkian Parkway in Sterling, 20165. The tree planting will take place a short distance away.
Tree-planting volunteers should dress appropriately by wearing gloves, older clothes, waders and boots.
