Join the City of Mountain View for our annual Community Tree Lighting Celebration on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Civic Center Plaza (500 Castro Street)! This free, family-friendly event marks the start of the holiday season with live performances, holidays around the world booths, kids’ train rides, crafts, hot cocoa and cookies (while supplies last), and of course, a special visit from Santa. The evening kicks off with a magical moment when the plaza tree lights up, bringing the community together in festive spirit.Guests are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy or a non-perishable food item to support local families through the Mountain View Police Department’s Cops That Care program and the Community Services Agency of Mountain View & Los Altos. Parking is available in nearby downtown lots and garages. Come share in the joy, music, and lights of the season!
