About this Event
Our Community Still Life drawing night offers folks a chance to connect with others while making art. Each session will feature a still life arrangement to focus on, and participants will be guided through brief warm up sketches before settling into a sustained drawing. This session is about playing with art materials and trying something new - all skill levels welcome!
What you'll need to bring:
- 4-5 sheets of paper or a sketchbook
- Drawing materials: pencil crayons, markers, pastels, watercolours, charcoal, etc.
Optional: one object to contribute to the still life arrangement. This could be anything from food items, toys, to clothing or books.
A light jacket (please dress for the weather as we will be outside)
What you can expect:
We'll start off with introductions; Some warm-up sketches; Time to work on your focused drawing at your own pace
We will share our amazing work with each other at the end
Studio Time: Still Life Social takes place monthly, and is hosted by the Parkdale Free School, a volunteer-run initiative based out of the Parkdale neighbourhood in Toronto.
Accessibility: Milky Way Garden is wheelchair accessible. Washrooms are available. As we will be drawing in an outdoor space with room to distance, masks are optional. If you have specific accessibility needs please email [email protected] and we will try our best to work with you and make appropriate arrangements
