🌳 What Are the Community Spirit Awards?
The Community Spirit Awards (CSA) recognize individuals and organizations who go above and beyond to uplift and empower our community. From grassroots organizers to institutional leaders, CSA honorees reflect the heart of our city’s progress.
This year, we’re highlighting a hand-selected group of honorees whose impact truly embodies our mission of building equitable and thriving communities.
🧡 Why It Matters…
This event isn’t just a celebration—it’s a fundraiser with purpose. Honoring the individuals and organizations doing transformative work in our communities reminds us of what’s possible when we invest in people over systems.
As part of our 25th anniversary campaign, we’re working to raise $25,000 to fuel the programs that make this work sustainable—from affordable housing and youth empowerment to community organizing and economic justice. Your support helps us with:
- Civic Education Workshops: Preparing residents to drive social change through knowledge and action.
- Affordable Homeownership Tools: Delivering financial education and resources to help families achieve stable housing.
- Expungement Workshops: Removing barriers to employment and housing for returning citizens.
- Career Empowerment: Resume workshops and mock interviews that open doors to meaningful employment.
- Housing Justice: Supporting our work to preserve and create affordable housing so longtime residents are not displaced.
