About this Event
The Napa Valley Threshold Choir, part of Threshold Choir International, is a volunteer group of a cappella singers that offer the gift of song at no charge to people at the thresholds of living and dying, and to those who love and care for them.
The evening will open with a short (20-minute) film “The Choir Who Sing to People on their Deathbeds” featuring a Threshold Choir in Devon, England, giving a moving glimpse into this worldwide circle of singers offering what is often called “audible kindness” ‘
Following the film, members of the Napa Valley Threshold Choir will share a bit about their local work, then invite participants into a gentle community song bath. Audience members may remain seated, close their eyes, or choose to lay back in specially arranged chairs as NVTC singers surround them with simple, soothing harmonies from the Threshold Choir repertoire.
Threshold Choir singers are not performers. They sing softly and attentively at bedsides, meeting people exactly where they are, offering comfort through the most human instrument we have ~ the voice.
We are fortunate int the Napa Valley to have two Threshold Choirs serving our community ~ the Napa Valley Threshold Choir and the Healing Threshold Singers.

We gather together as women to share our gift of song.
We honor ourselves and each other and know that here we belong.
Our spirits are joined together, our voices lift and rise.
Rejoicing in healing music, and precious bonds that tie....
