Join the Providence Singers and guest conductor Anthony Trecek-King for a community sing of Mozart's beloved choral masterwork.
About this Event

The Providence Singers welcome members of the community to join us for an evening of singing under the direction of Dr. Anthony Trecek-King. We will read through Mozart's Requiem, performed with soloists and piano accompaniment, at Carter Center in East Providence.

Dr. Trecek-King is an acclaimed conductor, speaker, and educator. He served as director of the Boston Children's Choir from 2007-2020 and is currently a resident conductor of Boston's Handel and Haydn Society. He has led performances in world-renowned venues including Boston Symphony Hall, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., Carnegie Hall in New York City, Royal Albert Hall in London, and the Sydney Opera House. In addition to his conducting work, he is currently the host of the classical radio show “The Silent Canon” which airs on KNVO 90.7. He can also be seen on-air and online on the Emmy nominated WGBH television series Sing That Thing, and two TEDx Boston talks. For more information about Dr. Trecek-King, please visit his website.
