About this Event
Our annual Community Sharing Day is our way to celebrate the urban orchard, as well as distribute extra fruit at the peak of the season! We will have activities including tasting heritage apple varieties, a scavenger hunt, orchard tours, cider pressing, asking a fruit tree expert and of course there will be fruit to take home.
Let us know if you are a volunteer and we will have a little something extra for you! Fruit will be available to anyone who comes to the event until we run out.
Come check out what we're all about, and spend some time at the wonderful Welland Orchard. We encourage you to arrive by bike - we are partnering with Go By Bike Week this year. If you are registered with Go By Bike and bike to the event, you will unlock an exciting discount for a to be announced preserve we will be producing this fall.
Getting there:
Limited parking is available at the Orchard, and we ask that you be respectful of the neighborhood when parking. There are two time slots with reserveable accessible parking - please take one of these tickets if this applies to you. The 22A and 24 buses stop nearby the Orchard. Carpool, or walk from the nearby Eagle Creek shopping center if you are able. Please note that the Strawberry Vale Community Center is closed during our event. We appreciate your patience with our venue's limitations.
We are looking forward to gathering together to share in the harvest!
