The Michigan Alumni Community Service Day is celebrated throughout the country. Clubs and affiliate groups hold a day of service in their communities to celebrate commencement and to bring our Leaders and Best spirit to help support those in need. Thousands of Wolverines participate in this annual tradition. Please join us as we sort donations at Second Harvest Food Bank of Central FL!
Last year, the U-M Club of Central FL had 14 volunteers during the community service day, and we want to top that number this year.
Kroger is the presenting sponsor of this year’s Michigan Alumni Community Service Day in support of its Zero Hunger, Zero Waste initiative. Nearly 42 million Americans — one in eight — struggle with hunger. Kroger started the program in 2017 with the goal of changing that number and helping build a more resilient, equitable, and sustainable food system that improves access to affordable, fresh food for everyone — for generations to come.
Please note: there are a limited amount of spots for this event. If it is showing full and you are interested email Liz at [email protected] and we can see if they can open more slots.
