Who Might Develop PTSD

Anyone exposed to a trauma; there is no discrimination. This means you or a family member could develop PTSD. Also, not everyone who experiences trauma develops PTSD, there might be depression, anxiety, other issues.

Approximately 1 in 11 people are diagnosed with PTSD during their lifetime. Those most at risk include First Responders and Veterans. If a person is a First Responder and a Veteran, there is an increased risk of PTSD due to occupational trauma from military duty and being a First Responder.

Studies show positive support systems and treatment reduces symptoms of PTSD. All First Responders/Veterans are a support for each other, besides family and friends. By noticing signs and symptoms, by asking questions, by referring someone to local resources, anyone can assist someone with PTSD to receive help. Many times, helping someone with PTSD actually saves their life.

Health, Wellness and a Fulfilling Life is the Goal for Each of Us.

Start Now to Make a Difference in Your Life and Someone Else's.

Join us June 24 to meet fellow First Responders & Veterans and local resources ready to support you and your family.
