Community Resilience Training #2:
DIY tips and techniques to make your home cooler in summer and warmer in winter
'Do What You Can' Volunteer Network
We are all feeling the effects of an ever increasing world, and Islington is no exception. Climate change is impacting our lives in ways we are not used in the UK. But we have the power to adapt to hotter summers and colder winters, and we can help each other in the process.
This workshop is focussed on easy, cost-effective and helpful ways to make your home more resilient to changing climates. We will be joined by Eloise Hanney of the council's retrofitting team. Whether you are a council tenant, private tenant or if you own your home, we can all learn new ways to be adaptive and resilient. These techniques are designed to be simple enough for you to tell someone else how to do them!
From 12pm at St Luke's Community Centre. Refreshments will be served at each workshop.
