What does it take to build a strong, connected, action-oriented community? In this immersive workshop, participants will transform from a group of strangers into a powerful force of real-world change—in less than 24 hours. Along the way, you'll gain skills on how to bring your home community together, listen and plan to meet community needs, and take necessary action now. Jeff Siegler of Revitalize or Die and Phil Eich of Storyville will lead the group through the three phases of how to put community pride into action: UNITE - strengthen interpersonal relationships and communication
PLAN - Listen to community needs and co-create a plan of action to meet them
ACT - accomplish real-world changes that further increases community pride We’ll go on a deep dive into what it means to build pride in your community, how to bring people closer together, and how to make an impact through action. This is a *working workshop*. The weekend will be filled with relevant experience and hands-on work by taking on a project in a local neighborhood. On Saturday, participants should expect to be hands-on and dress for work and weather. Registration fees are your "skin in the game" and will be used to execute the project. As in all great communities, therewillbe opportunities to contribute for participants unable to perform physical work to contribute.
By the end of the weekend, participants will leave with actionable insights, ideas, and strategies to bring back to their own communities. Join us for a deep dive into what it means to build pride in your community, bring people together, and to make an impact through action.
