Poetry has the power to change minds—it can also illuminate the past. Join artist Julie Rivera, and the group of local and international poets who collaborated in Look Again: Portraits of Daring Women by Julie Rivera (currently on view in the D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts) for a community poetry reading. Each poem was written to accompany Rivera’s portraits, including of Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Sylvia Plath, and Ida B. Wells. The reading will honor their legacies and draw connections to the present day.Join us in-person or online!
If you plan to attend in person at the Museums, tickets are available on the day of the lecture in the Welcome Center.
