Players of orchestral instruments are invited to join the National Capital Orchestra under the baton of guest conductor Shilong Ye to share the experience of playing in a full symphony orchestra. We will be working on "Village Fair: a ballet for orchestra" by Miriam Hyde and "1812 Overture" by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Rehearsals will be held in the morning and early afternoon before the ensemble will present the works in concert at 4:00 pm. Audience members are welcome at any time during the event.
The cut-off time for registration of players is 5 pm on Friday 22 August 2025. Tickets for audience members will be available at the venue.

Players should be aged 16 or over. Suggested minimum standard is AMEB grade 5 or equivalent. Please bring your own music stand and downloaded music, as well as your lunch. We will have a reception at the end of the day.
